If you hit someone with the release hitbox of charging down b, you can actually jump to cancel the move the frame it hits, while still in hitlag. RASCAL, a tech almost as dumb as the acronym it’s named with (Released Aerial Spin Charge Action Leniency), refers to some special properties of Sonic jumping out of aerial charging down b. This is the second last tech post of all time! (If The People want more then they better add Lyn to the game). Hopefully there’s something in this post for everyone, regardless of how experienced they are with Sonic. The Useful Information section also contains a more general How To Play Sonic guide, and a collection of Shockbound Gfys for some more insane applications of the spinny moves. Further down the list though there’s some other stuff you may not have seen before, based more on general mechanics and Sonic’s normals. You know it, I know it, might as well say it.Ī lot of the tech at the top of this post is thusly ball related, and delves into some of the intricacies in how these ball moves work (did you know that down b and side b are different moves? Good good, that's a good start). Sonic Goes Fast, and rolls up into a little ball.
